Locket — Terms of Service

By downloading or using Locket, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The service

Locket is a private memory app for couples. It lets you and one partner record milestones, write letters, pin places, play together and keep a shared bucket list. It is not a social network, a public platform, or a communication service outside your couple.

2. Your account

• You sign up with an email address and password, or with Sign in with Apple.
• You are responsible for keeping your password and your device secure.
• You may link your account to exactly one partner. Invite links expire after 48 hours and are single-use.
• You must be 13 or older to use Locket.

3. Your content

You own everything you create in Locket — milestones, letters, map pins, bucket items, drawings and profile details. By storing content in Locket you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and display it to you and your partner inside the app. We will never use your content for advertising, for training AI, or for any purpose other than running the app for you.

4. Subscriptions

• Locket offers a free tier and an optional Premium subscription, billed monthly or annually.
• Subscriptions are managed and billed by Apple via the App Store.
• Auto-renewable subscriptions renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Where a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the stated price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends.
• Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings.
• All purchases are final per Apple's standard App Store policy, except where required by law.
• Tap Restore Purchases in the app if your Premium status is not reflected after a purchase.
• A Premium subscription covers both partners in a couple.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Locket to store illegal content
• Attempt to access another user's data
• Reverse-engineer or tamper with the app
• Use the app in any way that violates Apple's App Store guidelines

6. Availability

We aim to keep Locket running reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Locket is provided “as is”. We are not liable for any loss of data or indirect damages arising from use of the app. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for a subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of your country of residence.
